CHALK-IT Varnish 0,75l

CHALK-IT Varnish is a colourless acrylic-polyurethane varnish for the protection of CHALK-IT chalk paint decorated surfaces and for the protection of raw wood. Ideal for furniture, table tops, paneling and other items made from wood used indoors. It is easy to apply and has good adhesion and flow properties. Creates a durable coating with high resistance to water and cleaning agents, as well as mechanical damage. It does not yellow over time.

Surface preparation:

The surface must be dry and clean, free of dust, grease, wax and other dirt. Sand old surfaces with fine-grained sandpaper and dust them.

Varnishing:

The ambient temperature should be between + 10 °C and + 25 °C. Mix the varnish thoroughly. Apply a thin, even coat with a brush or roller in the direction of the wood grain. Apply the next coats after the previous one has dried (about 4 hours). Avoid stripes. The best results are obtained by sanding the intermediate layer with fine grit sandpaper. The surface must be protected from water, dust and dirt (avoid draughts in the room) with each coat.

Attention! It is recommended to carry out a test in an inconspicuous place to familiarise yourself with the product before varnishing the surface. The drying time and final appearance of the coating depends on the type of wood, the quality, the humidity and the environmental conditions under which the work is carried out.

Ventilate the room during and after varnishing until the smell disappears.

Store at 5-25oC in a dry place, tightly sealed in the original packaging. Keep out of the cold and direct sunlight.
