Chalk paint CHALK-IT GRAPHITE – 125ml

CHALK-IT is a high quality paint for refurbishing and decorating furniture. The paint has a matt finish, good adhesion to the substrate and fast drying. This gives you endless decorating possibilities, both for smooth surfaces and for ageing effects. Thanks to CHALK-IT, changing your favourite piece of furniture will be extremely easy and time-saving.

For various surfaces

CHALK-IT is suitable for: wood, PVC, MDF, metal, glass, stone, brick and many other surfaces.

No sanding

CHALK-IT – no need to remove old coatings. The surface to be painted must be dry, clean, firm and degreased. For best results, wipe with CHALK-IT and lightly sand with sandpaper. Use CHALK-IT primer on very smooth surfaces, especially glass and plastic. Use the primer also on wood containing tannins.

Excellent coating and velvety finish

CHALK-IT contains the highest quality pigments and up to 45% chalk. This gives it an excellent and highly matt finish. Applying wax on top of the paint will give you a velvety, subtly glossy surface that is both well protected and durable.

Rich colour palette

CHALK-IT is available in a wide range of colours that can be further lightened (by adding the PURE WHITE dye), darkened (by adding the GRAPHITE dye), and mixed to create your own unique colour.

Environmentally friendly for allergy sufferers and children

CHALK-IT is a water-based product and contains only the highest quality raw materials, virtually odourless and with very low VOC (volatile organic compound) content.

Conforms to EN71-3: safe to use on children’s furniture and toys.

Quick and easy metamorphosis

CHALK-IT offers unlimited decorative possibilities. It will give your favourite furniture a second life. You can paint in one colour, apply a two-colour effect or give it an old, time-worn look.

Workflow

Painting should be carried out at a temperature of 10-30 oC. Mix the paint thoroughly before use. Apply to the surface with a brush or paint roller. Spread the product along the wood. Avoid the formation of lumps and stains during work. Apply the second coat about 2 hours after the first coat has finished. After drying, protect the coating with CHALK-IT-it varnish or wax.

Monochrome:

Apply two coats of one colour of chalk paint following the painting instructions and allow to dry. Voila – your furniture is beautiful again!

Two-colour effect:

Apply the first coat of the chosen colour. After drying (after approx. 2 hours), apply a second coat in another colour. Wait about 30 minutes and gently rub the top coat with 150-200 grit sandpaper to reveal the colour of the first coat in places. Focus first on the edges and convex elements.

The aging effect:

Apply a coat of chalk paint and, after about 30 minutes, wipe the painted surface unevenly with 150-200 grit sandpaper. Sand the wood to expose the wood in specific areas, focusing on edges and convex elements.
